Mr. Chill and the Witnesses is a Canadian blues band formed in 2004 in Windsor, Ontario.〔 The band consists of Kelly Hoppe (lead vocals, harmonica, saxophone, rhythm guitar), Greg Cox (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals), Luke Pelotte (drums), and Josh Zalev (bass, vocals). Hoppe, who had previously been a member of Big Sugar, formed Mr. Chill and The Witnesses after Big Sugar's demise in 2004. Their 2007 debut album, ''Cold Testament'', was recorded in Windsor at Sharktank Studios. It includes songs written by Patrick Ballantyne, who also penned songs for Big Sugar and The Trews.
